3D-printed tweezers based on crow beaks are more dexterous


Researchers have modelled a pair of tweezers to imitate the form of the 4.3 centimetre common beak of the New Caledonian crow (Corvus moneduloides) – an clever species of hen identified to make use of easy instruments. This design was then 3D-printed, with a versatile half connecting the 2 halves.
